1986, CINA:

Iconica Revolution

Designed in 1986 by Vico Magistretti, Cina embodies purity of form, harmony of lines and volumes. The model is characterized by a large steel hood. The particular handle obtained with groves at the top of the doors or on the bottom of the wall units promotes a sense of continuity and gives shape to a clean and essential design. The encounter between the spaces created by the handles creates an interesting game of lines: the shape obtained evokes the elegant silhouettes of a flûte. Another distinctive element of the model is the rounded profile of the door that gives a perception of sinuosity and lightness. Cina mirrors the minimalist approach of Vico Magistretti to design: to focus on formal purity and eliminate everything that is superfluous.

Accento Metallico

Accento metallico aims to project the timeless Cina into a space and time of the future. The use of an original finish such as Liquid steel metallic lacquer engraves the space and creates an extraordinary light effect. The pigments that characterize the material catch the light and reflect it dynamically and show different shades depending on the light’s angle reflections suspended between light and shadow. The accentuated visual identity of the composition is highlighted by the intensity of the marble Sahara noir that covers the top. The depth of the black is enlightened by the light tones of the veining, which branch out in a natural way. The composition defines the kitchen space, by making it memorable and where every line becomes a play of light.

Riviera Di Levante

Schiffini reintroduces the model Cina designed by Vico Magistretti combining contemporary materials and finishes. The tradition is reinterpreted with a look to the future. The marble-resin Grigio carnico recalls the traditional Genoese floor, a protagonist of the Ligurian houses. The compact grey base is enhanced by an irregular pattern of white and ivory veining. The visually dynamic effect is mitigated by the uniformity of the glossy Riviera lacquer. Inspired by the crystal-clear sea, this delicate color tone expresses a discreet style, but at the same time it gives back a sophisticated allure. The consistency of the lacquer is enriched by the particular handle in silver metal, which becomes a signature feature of the model.

Verde Cipresso

The model Cina represents the harmony of simple things that make difference. The Opus white natural quartzite topping the composition, enlights the surrounding space and turns the material surface into an almost ethereal dimension. The authenticity of nature emerges in the subtle black veins that surface and branch out across the compact white background. The delicacy of the natural quartzite is associated with a bold, dense and charming finish: the glossy Cipresso lacquer that catches and reflects the light of the kitchen space. The chromatic intensity of the finish reminds of the green slopes, a mysterious and thick nature. The depth of the Cipresso lacquer is made more enveloping, a cozy space, the kitchen becomes home, a place to be lived in, where design is not merely aesthetic, but vibrant and full of life.
