Baia
From line to gesture
Marco Costanzi signs BAIA, a new kitchen concept that aims for formal purity, precision of joints and “materiality” as a daily experience, rather than as a performance.
Inspiration takes shape from a careful and curious look at what surrounds us, from a sensitivity capable of capturing often silent details.
Observation rests on corners: the austere ones of historic buildings, but also the more discreet ones of objects newspapers. From here a transformation arises: the angle loses its rigidity, yes round up, becoming a more welcoming gesture. The door also opens outwards with a more lively and dynamic presence. They are not just aesthetic choices, but the recall to a world in motion where every object must find its safe landing place.
Anchoring in our origins
With the new BAIA model, SCHIFFINI returns home. Let’s go back to that nautical aesthetic which belongs to us by DNA. We were born in 1925, where the earth ends and the sea begins, producing furniture and kitchens for ships and yachts.
BAIA was born from this legacy, a project that brings SCHIFFINI back to its roots.
